Hello! I am a software engineer who recently graduated from a coding bootcamp. Prior to that, I have 10+ years of a learning and development background. I have enjoyed working with new hires to advance in their careers, created/designed learning programs for global teams, and collaborated with colleagues for process improvements to save the companies money and time. Along with in L&D, I was able to start working in project and program management to build out and/or update learning programs. Working in PM showed me I enjoyed problem solving and improving processes.
However, there was still something missing for me. I discovered my interest in developing learning tools to give a learner experiential learning opportunities. That led me to take a mini-bootcamp for web development focusing on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. That class grew my interest into a passion and I enrolled in a 17-week full-stack bootcamp to gain more skills. Web development combines my creative side for design and making things aesthetically pleasing and my inquisitive side for problem solving.
I'm excited to be able to get into a career that combines both of those things, and also be valuable to a company for my understanding of the entire learning process, as trainer and student. In addition to my technical skills, I am adept at communication, stake-holder management, time and project management, which I know are all key pieces to today's collaborative development environment.
